Paper Awareness Day at Invesco

The Printroom Group, in partnership with Mace Macro, were invited to hold two Paper awareness Days in February, for Mace Macro’s client INVESCO, at their offices in Henley & Finsbury Square, London.
The Paper Awareness Days were to promote the paper & processes used in both of the INVESCO offices, and explain the FSC Chain Of Custody of the paper used.

Simon Lewington explained “All paper supplied to Invesco is now FSC certified, and with the recent certification that the Printroom has been awarded, it shows that both The Printroom Group and Mace Macro in conjunction with their client INVESCO, are all aware of how this is helping to improve the environment”.

Account Manager Wanted

The Role

You will be responsible for account management and product delivery for various clients including major blue chip clients and SME’s.

You will co-ordinate and manage the end to end production, this will involve process quoting, checking artwork, ordering, invoicing and progressing jobs through production. Whilst providing advice and assistance to customers on products, services, design & production methods

You will build a professional working relationship with client contacts and ultimately ensure that a first class service is delivered.

Attitude

Printroom Produce Aldershot FC Calendars

Aldershot Town FC Youth department have once again commissioned Bracknell Printroom to produce their Calendars.

The Calendars are a great source of income for the Youth department with professional photography of each team courtesy of David Kurzberg Goddard.

The calendars are A4 in size and printed on a Glossy stock. With a metallic black wiro bind on the top of the calendar. The calendars are in two formats Centre of Excellence and Elite Centre.

Printroom Group invests in two Xerox 1000 presses

By Melanie Defries Friday, 20 January 2012 Digital and litho printer the Printroom Group has installed two Xerox 1000 five-colour digital presses at its Bracknell digital print hub in a bid to grow its share of the short-run market. The new presses, which the company bought directly from Xerox, were installed in December and have replaced one of the company’s two Xerox 8000 digital presses. According to finance director Keith Cooper, the company decided to upgrade due to the superior quality of the Xerox 1000, which has a list price of $395,000 (£253,880), and the optional fifth print station, which allows users to apply a clear dry ink. Cooper said: “We chose the Xerox 1000s because they have the new clear ink technology, which is like a spot UV varnish, and the quality we can offer is superior.” Marketing manager Simon Lewington added: “Staff are now fully trained up on the new machines and we are delighted with the upturn in quality and productivity.” Cooper said that the investment, which is expected to reach £1.8m over the life of the machines, was aimed at growing the company’s share of the “short-run quick turnaround market”. The Xerox 1000, which was launched last year, can print up to 100 A4 pages per minute on a maximum sheet size of 330x488mm and can handle stocks ranging from 55-350gsm. The £3m-turnover Printroom Group, which was founded in 1977 by father and son team Ron and Barry Lewington, specialises in print management but also has its own litho and digital print facilities. It has a design arm called Printroom Creative and in addition to its headquarters in Bracknell, the group has high street retail sites in Reading and Camberley.

FSC is an internationally recognised non-governmental, non-profit organisation that promotes the responsible
management of the world’s forests.
The Green credentials of the company confirm the company’s on-going mission to reduce the carbon
footprint of itself and its clients. Being an FSC certified print company, The Printroom Group can now allow credible tracking of FSC material from the forest through all the production process, to committed retailers and consumers. This guarantees that the
paper used originates from well-managed forests where conversation values are protected and deforestation and all the issues associated with deforestation do not occur.
Only FSC certified companies are allowed to label printed products
with the distinctive “Tree tick” logo of the FSC, allowing their customers

The Printroom currently manages in-house units for two large Corporate’s.

Involved in this Management is both Reprographic Rooms and Warehouse Facilities Day to day reprographic, time sensitive, projects are carried out every day, along with specific marketing projects involving design, printing to corporate specifications, and distribution.

Printing pays a large part in the Marketing requirements of this client. The Warehouse is used for storage of printed literature and associated products that are delivered around the site at the client’s request.
