NFC

NFC Tags are currently gaining popularity in the ever evolving world of marketing. The Printroom Group can produce NFC tags to either be attached to your printed literature or hidden within your printed literature.

What is NFC?

NFC stands for Near Field Communication, it works like a QR code in the way that it communicates information from the web to a smart phone. By tapping the tag a digital action can be performed quickly and easily.

Does it work on all phones?

Currently NFC technology will automatically work on Android and iPhone 7’s upwards. If using older Apple technology an NFC reader has to be downloaded from the app store.

How can NFC help with my Marketing?

The tag can launch an app, which is a great idea on a flyer or brochure. The tag can also launch a website or mini site. On clothing the tag could direct the user to a page on a website where an item can be purchased. If an event is being promoted the tag can direct to a site where information can be updated instantly. NFC can also allow for a video to be played instantly to help get your marketing message across. The tag can also allow an online form to be loaded to the users phone allowing them to register for an event. The tag can also be used to take the user to a special offer if used in a restaurant. Business cards can also have tags embedded into them. Contacts can simply tap the card to download contact details or be directed to a website.

Benefits of NFC

Imagine sending some printed postcards to your clients and hoping they will access the website you have printed on there. But what if they had another option by simply placing their smartphone near it and it linking directly to your site or event.

This saves time for all users and the activity to your website will certainly improve.

NFC tags can be pre-loaded and attached to any printed item at our head office in Bracknell.
